As always, Jezebel and the RCS Motor Club have a packed schedule this Summer of 2024.
Fast approaching is the “Run from Imperial” on Saturday 27th July. The much-loved run is making a return and will again start from the Harlington Sports Ground (which is conveniently located outside the ULEZ), but this year it will go to the de Havilland Aircraft Museum, Salisbury Hall, London Colney, Hertfordshire, AL2 1BU (also conveniently located outside the ULEZ) and back. (Despite rumours to the contrary Jez is NOT repeating last year’s trip to the Rural Life Living Museum at Farnham). Meet with Jez up in London Colney, or bring your own vehicle and join the ‘run’. And there is the “Chertsey Agricultural Show” on 10th and 11th August where Jez will be parked next to large body of water to allow some decent pumping, and will be called upon to extinguish two very real (and obviously not at all staged!) fires each day. Of all the summer events, the pick of the bunch must be the “Isle of Wight, Havenstreet Steam & Beer Festival” from 23rd August to 26th August (though Jez, being a star attraction, has to be around longer, perhaps a day or two either side). Then there is the “Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre” on 13th, 14th and 15th September. You can find out more about the Country Fayre by clicking here….
